Attending an Indian Wedding as a non-Indian guest?

I am attending a tradtional Indian wedding very soon. (in Australia)

HOWEVER! It is a cross cultural affair - the bride is Jewish Anglo-Saxon and the groom is Fijian Indian. They have had a tradtional "white wedding" to celebrate the bride's heritage and now they are having a traditional Indian wedding to celebrate the groom's.

We have been asked to dress in Saris/Sarees; what should I look for that will suit me as a tall, fair (ie white) skinned, blonde female that will suit me but keep to all the traditions of an Indian wedding in style, colour etc?

Also, what about hair, jewellery, shoes etc?

I understand that red is the traditional colour for the bride, but is it also appropriate for guests to wear as well or is it considered a big no-no to wear the same colour like it is in more Christian ceremonies?

Help?!

why don't u leave ur hair open. wear some silver jewelery

and a suit( salwar kameez- indian name) wear some high heels and some artificial gold bangles.

But if we were answering for points, wouldn't we just make an answer like "I don't know." or "...." Instead of actually answering?
