I'm a bridesmaid in my cousins wedding, and I planned on a posh updo until I picked up the gown.

It is very, very over-the-top for a bridesmaid gown. It's from this designer, only from 2006 so it's not on the site: http://www.savoysfashion.com/index.htm

Lots of beading, ruffles, rouching, and it's fucshia!

So I really want a simple hairstyle and simple makeup, so I won't look overdone or outshine the bride, as they say.

Will these styles work with my hair, when it has side-bangs?

Also, which do you think is better? I'm aiming for simple, elegant, and young - I'm only sixteen, so I don't want to overdo it.

Definately the second picture. If your dress is crazy then you will want your hair to be simple and elegant.

hair......yes those styles work with side bangs (i did it all the time when i had sidebangs) aaannnddd i like the second one...the curls are looser.
