Could this be pulled off?

http://www.brides.com/fashion/dresses/ga...

if the bride were around 5'6, around 140 lbs (a fairly athletic build with a relatively flat chest), dark ash blonde hair in a similar, soft style and somewhat natural makeup.

what kind of shoes/ flowers would you reccommend if the wedding were to take place at night under the stars in late summer...

thank you!

Go for a night flowering bloom, that would be great. I like Jasmine.

For the flat chested-ness, Get a good corset, they are great at accentuating boobs. They also often come with fillers, just to give you that little bit of extra size, and it looks natural.

I think that, if the dress was taken up a bit, you could probably go for bare feet on the sand :)

If not, strappy heels are always a winner.

5'6" and 140 would look good in that outfit.

Sandles with modest wedge and wildflowers sound good.

I think it could be pulled off, it's a really nice dress...very old-fashion romantic.

That is a pretty dress and I'm sure it would look good on the body you described, but you should try it on just to be sure you like the way it looks on you. I would do ballet slippers with the wedding that you described. Find out what flowers are in season in that locale and use them for your bouquets. I hope you get a starstruck night! Good luck!

To be honest, the dress is beautiful except for the neckline. If you have a relatively flat chest and an athletic build, the deep wide scoop neckline might make your chest look flatter. The same dress with a v-neck or sweetheart (curved) neckline would probably be much nicer.

Very nice, and empire waistlines have been in for a while now. This style of dress actually looks better on people with a flatter chest, so i think you will look gorgeous.

I would reccommend you wear round toe shoes with a slight heel and soft tulips might be nice with it:

Good choice! I think ballet flats would be perfect (or Grecian sandals that wrap around the legs), and a simple white bouquet of calla lilies or a single rose (white or color of your choice) would work well.

Alternatives to flowers are walking down the aisle with crystal boquets, rosasry beads, a Bible, or a lighted covered candle. Ask the local shops for flower choices.

Enjoy your big day and gorgeous dress!

That is alot of dress for lady with your build. I like the "style" of the dress,IE the empire waist and color. But how it's sewn would be overwhelming. I would suggest a simpler cut of the empire waist. Something definitely more form fitting. Your 5'6 and 140. Show off that pretty figure of yours.

Here is a suggestion for the same style but a different cut from www.davidsbridal.com

I would suggest contacting a florist in the area, and see what flowers will be in season during that time. That way you know exactly what is available, and you can go from there. Good luck

It's just not very bridal. You can find a casual dress, still having that 'bride' feeling, I would think.

i think with your height, the dress is going to eat you alive!

hear me out, not trying to be mean. With that much fabric at the bottom of the dress, and your shorter stature, the poof will only make you look even smaller. If you've already tried the dress on, and love it... i could be wrong (doesnt happen often though).

May i suggest a dress with a little less fabric below the waist. A sleek column dress makes pretty much everyone look tall and elongated. But that is just my personal opinion.
